Using artificial intelligence to serve the transport sector
In this episode, Laurence Garcia meets Marie-Claude Dupuis, Director of Strategy, Innovation and Development for the RATP, Paris’ public transport service. She is responsible for developing the group's new clean, shared and connected transport methods, undertaking a major challenge to reduce pollution and congestion in the city.
They discuss driverless transport, the challenges of MaaS (Mobility as a service) and green technologies to create a more inclusive and sustainable city. Marie-Claude Dupuis is convinced that artificial intelligence will help provide solutions for the future to meet the demand for transportation, expected to triple in the greater Paris area by 2050.
This interview was carried out in January 2020 prior to the COVID-19 health crisis.
