The Inno4graph project is developing a set of tools and methods that will be used for decommissioning graphite nuclear reactors. Using digital simulation tools, in particular 3D modelling of decommissioning scenarios, the project will make it easier to understand and control graphite-related risks. The models resulting from these tools and methods will then be tested in EDF's industrial demonstration unit near the Chinon power plant. The project will also involve an educational programme to train operators.
